As for tracking for "16":
Both Recto and Mark IV were recorded through Road King Cab via Sennheiser 609 straight into Digi 003 protools.
There were two tracks for each Recto and MK IV:
Recto Dry / Recto Wet (panned L/R)
Mark IV Dry / Mark IV Wet (panned R/L)
Used a G System in loop for Wet tracks with slight delay Tap Tempo'd to song + a little reverb.
Very little eq'ing... We took just a touch of the sizzle of the top... Bussed the tracks in protools and applied a smidge more delay and plate verb to glue 'em together.
Sounds cool. 8) Guitars sound good and balanced well within the mix. The only thing I would have to say, and this is just my opinion, but the snare, to me, sounds a little dry. Cools tune though.!!
really cool man! it was weird, when i first started listening to the song i was thinking it sounded like a crunchier version of incubus but when the song progressed and the vocals came in i was getting the queensryche vibe. i like it. i think the guitars sound very good.
