It's the question. It's been eating into your mind like a splinter - no - it's not "What is the Matrix?". The question is how does one configure a true parallel signal path mono in stereo out FX boxes for the TA effect loop. Serial cascades are so - so - so "before the preamp".

Urs True is always looking to toss the "Y" cables "plugging" two mono in stereo out modulators into the TA's effects loop and wondering if these are prospects (cheaper than Lehle's switch boxes 4-sure) would do the job.

Being able to add mono modulators (like an old DOD Phasor 201) into the effects loop would be a bonus.

Be nice to "not sum the wet signals" traveling to the TA's A/B return ports.

Be nice to be able to split the effect loop's send path too!

Found a couple a prospects and would appreciate any feed back...

For a 100 (or so) bucks, Behringer offers the ULTRALINK PRO MX882 (PDF):

It is either a mixer (for A/B return) or a splitter (for send). Don't know if it can be applied as both a mixer and splitter. Existing patch cables would need one of their TR phone plugs replaced with 3 pin XLRs.

For 300 to 400 bucks there's the Rane Sm 26S Six to Two Line Level Mixer (could reuse existing patch cables.

And there's the ROLLS for 45 smacker's ..

Guessing the MX882 (if it cannot simultaneously split and mix) could be the mixer to manage the FX boxes' -> TA A/B return paths and the ROLLS could serve as a splitter for the send - any comments appreciated.
