I'm having a strange problem with my 1990 .50 cal. I always use a EQ pedal plugged into the fx loop for a solo boost. Well here's the problem:
I stomp on the eq pedal solo and the amp quits working, I yank out the cables in back going to the send and return on the fx loop and BAM! the amp works again just fine. Also, now with the eq pedal plugged in it sounds real dark like a blanket is over the cab and the volume is a tad lower. Could this be oxidized send and return outputs or something bigger?

Thanks, Scott

yea, it ain't the pedal, the old DOD EQ pedal was kinda screwed up ( after 10 years of tour abuse!) but the new Boss EQ works fine, I even tried it out on my buddys Marshall. Here's another thing that's perplexing, I've been running my Boogie Studio preamp to the Return of the .50 cal and it works like a charm and I use the Boss EQ trick into the fx loop of the Studio Pre without issue...
