Hey guys/gals.

Tonight at practice, I got everything set up and ready to go. When it was time to play, I wasn't getting any sound. I checked all connections, made sure my mute button wasn't on (more than once this was on and I thought the amp was broke  ). I bypassed all pedals by plugging my guitar straight into the amp. Still...........Nothing. I was switching channels on my footswitch, and they were changing just fine on the amp, and everything was lighting up. Then, I unplugged my footswitch and set the channels manually from the back, and boom..........I had sound.

So basically my footswitch was functioning as far as changing the channels, but I couldn't get any sound with it plugged in. By unplugging it and switching the channels manually in the back, it worked just fine.

Anyone know what could be wrong?

Thanks!

Channel select knob on the back of the amp has to be set to footswitch for the footswitch to work. :)

no, but the head i was playing at guitar center had an issue with the footswitch. it would see that when i would press the footswitch button for the EQ it would rarely turn on or off. I checked the settings and moved them from off to on to select, and it was a pain in the ass to switch. but all of the channels switched without issue.

The knob on the back was set on footswitch. The channels were even switching just fine. The pedal was lit up and working. Whatever channel I'd press on the pedal, the amp would switch to. But, there simply just wasn't any sound until I unplugged it and switched manually.

Scott7d, I'm having similar issues with my footswitch not working. What did you end up doing with yours?
