Ok where to start :p howdy all, well i bought a dc-5 off the bay and it said that it has been "professionally modded with an extra gain stage for even higher gain at the flip of a switch" so anyway i bought it, plugged it in and the rhythm channel sounds like there two guitars playing one clean and one distorted, lead sounds amazing but this **** rhythm channel is bugging me, any idears? oh and allso the extra gain switch just sounds like it just activates the pull boost gain knob on the rhythm channel, which is no longer a push/pull knob anymore which is why im thinking this.

(sorry for the big picture but i wanted it to be clear as to what im talking about)

ive changed all tubes still the same, im just hoping its nothing major and just this silly switch on the back, but it still does it with the switch on and off.

would like to take the switch off and put a jack there to footswitch it if this problem has nothing to do with that.

(EDIT) also if that wasnt enough :p serial no.611 what year ya think that is? 91 or 92?

some1 asked for high res images in a pm, without pulling it out the case again these are as high as i could go and i dont realy know what i was taking pics of apart from the wires from the now non pull knob and switch.

once image is open click on it to make it big.

(EDIT!!!) OOOOK! i now know whats goin on here, the lead channel gain is spilling over into the rhythm channel, if i turn down the gain on lead channel to zero the distorsion that was in the background of the rhythm channel goes away and i have a nice clean sound for once. hmmm
