Preset EQ behavior...

I was wondering about the characteristics of the preset eq dials... Is the eq flat at 12 o clock or is is based on the set slider eq? Where on the dial is unity, 12 o clock or like a regular dial at zero? :?:

I know it's independent of the sliders. AS far as 12:00 being the flat spot I think you are correct. That is closest to a V setting to my ear. Right or left then shifts the EQ.

As I understand it, hard left is flat. The more you dial in clockwise, the more you create a V shape and drop mids

Yeah I was calling the flat spot at 12:00 but meaning the zero spot for the actual V pattern. You can certainly hear it!
