Just got some JJKT77's and GZ34's for my Roadster, popped them in. Sound came through but there was a very predominant static noise coming through as well. When I put my old power tubes back in, the problem ceases. Could this problem have to do with a contact problem in my tube sockets. Eurotubes says that you should clean the tube sockets with contact cleaner by spraying the pins of the new tubes with the cleaner and then moving them in and out of the sockets. Does this sound kosher and if so is there any kind of cleaner I should avoid or should I just use methanol ethanol mix?
