The inner socket tubes "glow" in "Class A" just like they "glow" when in standby. Sort of.
First, switch the two 6L6s. If the cold, dead tube remains so in the other socket, mark it "BAD" so you know which tube to toss when you remove both and they are lying there on the workbench looking identical.
Second, keep the good tube to start your collection of spares, toss the bad. If you're feeling green, remember that tubes are toxic electronic waste, and dispose of accordingly.
Third, get another matched pair of 6L6s that will work in a Boogie.
Fourthly, install, fire it up (use the standby switch), and enjoy!
If the fuse didn't blow, it's unlikely something seriously bad happened. But it's a good idea to make sure the fuse is the correct type for a Mark III - 3 amp slow-blo. Available at Radio Shack.
