Hello again guys. This time the problem I need help with is not mine it is my oldest brother's prob. He's in love with my sound and has tried duplicating my rig from scratch (he's rich). But, his rig has serious ground issues that stem from his only "NOT MY RIG" piece, the poweramp. I run a 395 and he now runs a 2x100. My rig is dead quiet and his hums like Atari's Pole Position at it's best. I'll outline the rigs (both quite simple) and you guys give me some more suggestions k?

My rig:
1) Rocktron Prophesy
2) Mesa 395
3) Cabs
4) Behringer fbc (this is the strangest part)

His rig:
1) Rocktron Prophesy
2) Mesa 2x100
3) Cabs
4) Behringer fbc

He has ground loop probs and I don't. We've swapped out every last pieces of our rigs and determined his 2x100 is the culprit. Question is why?
I have not placed his amp in my rack yet to see if it hums through my rig but I'm sure it will.
I found his first pre tube was microphonic and amplifying and oscilating with the cooling fan on the 2x100 and replaced the tube with a few known good ones but every tube in the first pre position seem very sensitive to the fan. All we tried sounded better as far as noise went but the fan noise was still there. We seized the fan with a screw driver but the "out of phase hum" was still there. Is the 2x100 just a noisier amp due to higher gain stages? Is this a bad design? Is this a bad amp?
The amp played good and quiet at Guitar Center, why would it hum it's outta phase tune at home?
I want my Bro to be happy and I want his rig to sound awesome like mine cuz he leaves it in my studio and if ever I need a backup......I'll have one.
His amp is noisier when he plugs his midi cable in from the fbc1010. His Fbc makes my rig hum louder too (I know Bad midi cable but it's a monster hehe cable).

Fire away guys.
Thanks!!
