can anyone compare the differences with the vintage 30's and the black shadows while playing the ED?
i play through a mesa 3/4 open back 1X12 with a black shadow. i was loving the tone coming from it paired up with my ED. i recently picked up a roadster head and plugged it into the cab. the roadster sounded alot warmer and less aggressive than i remembered my single rectifier sounding (which i played through with greenbacks). the bass also was very loose and farty with the roadster plugged into the cab. so that got me thinking...i wonder if the ED would sound even better with vintage 30's or greenbacks for that matter. or is it just that the roadster sounds nothing like single rectos???? any help would be much appreciated!
