If I had a bias probe in my mkiv what would I want to see on the inner and outer 6l6s if I wanted them to run hot? I know dealers use different voltages to rate their tubes but the guy at tube depot says he runs "bias point" 27 in his mkiv I had some 18s in my dc10 I'll check the ones I get with the probe but just want to make sure there in range

39mA would be 60% MPD
42mA would be 65% MPD
45mA would be 70% MPD
48mA would be 75% MPD

Based on a 30W 6L6 @ 460V on the plates. 90% of the tubes bought for Boogie's only run between 30-40% MPD.
A bias point of 27 on a JJ 6L6 in a MK IV would run 20-27mA at -51V and 460V to the plates. The resellers only
test them at 400V and a set bias, so when the tube sees higher plate voltage and lower bias the numbers all change.
Mostly to the cooler side.
