I read some magazines talking about pups magnetism. They said their magnetism will become weak through the years.
Does anybody knows something about it ?

magnetism is hardly ever permanant, metals can lose there magnetic properties. pickups usually start to lose there magnetism at around 20-30yrs old if theyre decent quality. but many never lose it at all.

hmm I read that they loose their magnetic properties a little beat every year so after (as you said) 20 years they shoul receive another charge (I don't know if charge is the correct word for that ).

its easy enough to remove the magnet and replace it while keeping the original winds. i know many people that swap magnets just to check out different tones. most commonly is replacing ceramic with alnico.
