it's replacing my 2 laney 4x12s.

I drove out to tampa to pick it up in the day, and fell in love with a stripper in the evening :)

Looks very good!

Do you hear any improvement? Do you feel like it was money well spent?

Give us a small review compared to the old cabs....I'm going to have the money to do it, and I'm considering getting a mesa 4x12 for my dual recto instead of the avatar.....I'm just not sure it's necessary, as the avatar is very good.

well, if your avatar has the vintage 30s I'd probably save the $ and keep the avatar.

my laneys had H|H speakers in 1 cab, and celestion 70 eighties in the other.

It sounded great, I just switched to have a matching set.

I was VERY pleased with the new sound, it sounds like a new amp. It sounds much better at lower volumes, it sounds less buzzy and ver thick (i figured it was just the volume, but the V30s are excellent speakers)

everything sounds much clearer, and cuts through very well. I don't have to be quite as articulate with my playing, all my notes come through easily.

the clean tone got much better too.

I am very pleased with the purchase

i think i have thos exact earplugs

thanks!

don't like the ear plugs?

no i love em' save me a lot of ear with my nomad 100
i just can't eq with them on (they cut out a lot of bass!)

try looking for hearos high fidelity earplugs. my band uses 'em and they're great. they cost 10bucks at samash.com or 15 in the store (i printed the online ad and i got em for 10 at the store). they provide attenuation BUT you get to hear all the highs and lows! they provide a flat response. everything sounds the same but at lower volume as earplugs should do.

neat-o. i lose things pretty often though. i think i'll stay with what i have for now thanks though

that sounds good, I think I may try those (although I'm pretty sure I'd lose 'em too)

I'm gonna try to get a hotplate sometime too
