Thanks. I found a live video from a US concert 1990, with Marshalls on stage. That surprised me a lot. They must definitely used some heavy equalizing both on the amp and on the recorded tracks for that album!

I will give a go with my Quad Ch2 Lead Mark III-style.
 
SS Marshalls would also be used for studio use as well, which are very aggressive. Same amps Schuldiner would use. Back then, they were also known to run those old Zoom pedals into the front of the amps. The Quad on that Mark III channel should get you close. What are you using for a poweramp?
