Padouk 1 x 12 cab ... often used ?

picked up this beautiful 1 x 12 ext cab in a flightcase labelled ELVIS COSTELLO No 28 and has Padouk written on the inside of the back panel. was Padouk often used in cabs and combos ?

Is it Padouk? Looks alot like Bubinga in the pictures. Nice find either way!
