hey guys......just noticed a problem with my triaixis.....i was jamming and something didnt sound quite right and i checked and i have virtually no volume at all coming out of output A of the triaxis but output B is big and thick as usual.

to ensure that my 20/20 power amp was not the problem i reversed the wiring and the left side of the power amp was fine so it's not that.

i have also tried different cables but nothing seems to work.

this seems like a weird problem to me....could it be tube related? if anyone knows why i could have virtually no signal coming out of output A and normal full signal out of output B I sure would appreciate the help.

Most likely the output pot on the front panel. They get old and wear out. The A chanbel has usually been used a lot more than the B channel. It's not a big fix if that's it. Try running from your FX sends directly to your amp.

the fx send is fine but the "A" output for both the normal and recording output is nearly incapable of producing any sound.

The output pot will affect the main out but not the rec out. I'll bet half of V5 went bad.

BAM.....you are correct! I would not have believed it but just for the heck of it i thought i would change out the tubes prior to running it to the repair shop and when i did everything was fine! i didnt realize that half a tube could go bad...but now i know

Happy it works!

I'd guess it's more likely for half a tube to go bad than the whole thing, BUT usually the gain stages are in series, so you can't tell it's just half when a tube goes bad.
