Just to inform and got surprised to see the Single Recto and the Recto Stereo 2:100 power amp in the discontinued products page on the Mesa site!
Any thoughts on this?...

The 2:100 has been discontinued for about a year now. I think the Single Recto was discontinued with the arrival of the Mini Recto.

Thanks for the info Dom. Guess the mini is loud enough to cover the Single Recto and the 2:100 never reached the 2:90 status...

And also, I guess there's no need for single rectos as the new multi-watt recto models now cover the 50W territory.

The Mini is not even close to being able to cover the ground that the Single Rectifier did from a volume perspective.

The Multi-watt Dual is what made the Single obsolete

Just my .02

The only Rectifier I've owned was a Roadster. And I manipulated the tube/diodes and bold/spongy switches to get different tones and feels. The fact that the Single didn't have either two switches was an immediate dealbreaker for me.

Yes, but the price range is different too. Some peolple got the single cause the dual was out of their budget, now its 8 or 800, mini or Dual.

You got used to those features but the single Recto, compared to other amps, have some interesting features like different modes per channel or the 6l6/el34 bias option. But yes, the lack of solo boost, spongy/bold and the tube/diode functions make this version a bit antique compared to other Rectos.
