Orange gain stage louder than clean?

Footswitch is out of commision currently so I'm doing all this manually. A week or so ago I had was seemed to clearly be a preamp tube go on me so I changed all 5 tubes which fixed the main issue but now it seems that when I switch the orange to act as a clean channel I have way more volume than when modern or whatever is activated.

Any ideas?

I believe its a Rev F (92-93-ish right)? 2 channel etc, etc.

I don't know. It just doesn't seem to have quite the oomf it did when I first got it. Because I play thrashy downtuned hardcore I'd never had it on the clean channel to notice it before so its good to know that isn't unusual.
