Opeth - one of the most underrated bands?

They're not metal. They're sorta Floyd-ish plus metal (death). One of the best live tones for lead I've ever heard.

They still using Laney's? Great band man. Puts my baby boy to sleep in the car (the laid back parts!)

Well they're not as metal now as they used to be. Freaking love Opeth though. Unbelievable amounts of talent. Very unique sound for sure. Wish I would have seen them live years ago. Hear they're incredible.

They definitely are underrated, but dayum are they awesome! I love their more laid back stuff, kinda gets me in the chill zone. As rabies said, very floyd-ish at times. I HAVE to see them live one of these days, I've heard they put on a great show.

I saw them live twice (once at HOB). Around 3-5 yrs ago. Any metal band with keys is cool. Any band with keys is cool for that matter. Adds another dimension.

But they're very interesting guitar players/styles...

Haha thanks man, I forget where I heard that from but its been a long time now. Remembered it a while ago, figured it would fit right in with this place. :lol:
