i listened to a song on their new album that had the same intro effect as Parkway drive's song sleepwalker. I just thought I wonder if they have ever played together. I guess so lol.

I already asked Andrew about the tone! So sick!

As for the record's tones, all of the guitar tones were done on my two Multi-Watt Rectos. We used a Maxon OD808 out front with a whirlwind A/B/Y to split the signal in stereo to both heads at once, and had one speaker on both of my Recto Standard cabs mic'd, a V30 and a C90. I believe it ended up being the V30 paired with the EL34 head, and the C90 paired with the 6L6 head. We also ran a BBE 882i stereo Sonic Maximizer in both head's loops. The tone that we got from them was awesome, and we didn't even have to re-amp anything. It is just double tracked on each guitar. Rhythms were done on the red channel, using Modern mode, leads were done on the orange channel in Vintage mode, cleans on green channel, clean mode. The guitar used was my red Torero with an EMG 81/85 (b/n) and for cleans, our other guitarist's Fender Tele was used (SD hotrail bridge/stock neck p/u).

Hey man, sorry for not replying sooner! I left for tour on the 31st and haven't been on the board in a couple days. Anyways, fluff's got the answer to the question, and if you have any other questions feel free to ask. Mics used were SM57s on the bottom speakers of my Recto cabs, mic'd as described in fluff's post, wheels off, and in iso boxes. Settings for the Maxon OD808 are: Gain around 10 o'clock, Tone around 12 (noon) and Balance around 2 o'clock. On other thing that isn't mentioned is the 6L6 head is bold/silicon diode, EL-34 head is bold/Tube rectifiers, both heads on 100 watts. I can't remember exactly what our recorded EQ was, but my live tones are a slight variation of this picture, which were kept pretty close to what it was in the studio, just a little more bass, and less treble I believe:

I have boosted the mids on the Orange channel(s) a little more, for solos to cut. I run these in stereo live just like it was done on the record. Rock on, and thanks for listening to our music!
