OMG Mark IV HELP! RH1 Vol Prob

Ok what the hell happened to my R1. Basically, I turned the amp on all fine, then when I went to clean the volume is very low but its also distorted, What have I done to my precious Mark IV
Help would be much appreciated. I'm assuming a preamp tube though.

Start by changing the V1 preamp tube and take it from there.

Depends on your own taste I guess. I'm using the spare Mesa 12ax7 that came with my Mark IV.

Ah K! Sweet, well maybe i'll get a 12ax7 Electro harmonix, simply because in australia its easy to get just for now before i do a total retube
