I dont know what it is worth, but I want it.
Dave from what I understand, with no room for furniture you have had to line all yours up end to end and put cushions over the top. The ultimate in a Boogie sectional couch. A little high off the floor but well matched and part of a great surround sound system.

I'm glad some of the toys are still out here for others to play with, you can't have ALL of them. Or can you?

"What is your quest?". "I seek the vertical grail cabinet, each and every last one."
"What is your favorite configuration?", "A slant vertical 4x12 halfback metal grille with C90's Vintage 50's and EV's if only I could find some"
"What is your favorite sound pressure level" "What d'ya say, I can't hear you it's too loud in here with all my 4x12's, hooked up to my...... ahhhhhhhh!!!!"

Having been thrown into the abyss the raiding party heads to dave's place......

Tonal versatility is my quest. Personally I feel that speakers are THE most important part of sound. After all, you could have a "OK" amp, but have it sound great through good speakers. On the other hand, you could have the best sounding amp and have it sound like crap through some junky speakers.

My current quest is for 2 or 4 EVM12L's in a Mesa halfback 4x12. Once I acquire it, I will be happy…

don't want to hijack but...

Dave, Why don't your smiley's and quotes replies ever come through right ? :?:

Blame that on the board. I have my profile set to have these things "off". I post from work and dont want the quotes or smiles...or signatures to show. This keep the forum very small on my screen   (i set the profile to show the winks this time)

No hijack worries with me, I kind of wondered the same thing!

Your cab or are you looking to buy?
Bought it but was having 2nd thoughts. It's on it's way.... Will see how I feel when it's here.

Congrats.

G,

Congrats on your new purchase. Seems to be in nice shape.

FYI - if the rust on the handles bothers you, you can buy replacements on-line. I did that for my cab. The replacements look exactly like Mesa handles and fit perfectly - cutout and screw holes line up exactly.

I also noticed that your cab is mono. Mine has the stereo/mono switchplate. You could also upgrade to that feature if you desire, but you'd have to route the back panel to accomodate it.

btw - I just responded to your pm...

Original casters were 2" pin/socket type, the only flaw in the halfback design.
It's like putting the legs of a crane on an elephant, well maybe not THAT extreme.

The "newer" trac-loc system they've had is awesome, I would suggest gettin the 3" trac-loc's straight from Mesa ! Then you could go through a gravel parking lot and still be OK !
