OCD in front of rect-o-verb?

Try a BB Preamp... It'll give you a really nice smooth solo sound.

I'm using the OCD in front of a stiletto trident and not liking it. I'll be trading it in for either a custom electronics line driver boost or an mxr micro amp. I just want boost for soloing and I find the ocd adding mud.

OCD always gave me the vibe that it was more of a distortion box rather than an OD. A good OD (TS-9, TS808 RI, Maxon 808) are less transparent and just seems to tighten the tone to my ears. Especially under hi gain conditions. YMMV.
