Good Luck with the bidding Jim, I hope you get it !

I use to own a road-ready Mesa halfback loaded with all EVM-12L's and let me tell you.......Good God  built like a friggin tank and it sounded nothing short of INCREDIBLE !
800 watts of over-the-top clean headroom. I ran my 99 Triple Rec through it and the cab didn't even flinch, excellent tone.

Just invest in a back support belt if you plan on lifting it yourself, seriously !

Man I want this thing badly. I may have to take a road trip, it isnt that far from me...

hope i can carry the bloody thing

Don't even think about "carrying" it. Especially with those knife edges Mesa called handles on thse cabs. Expect to step up to the plate to get it. A guy paid $800 with shipping for mine.

Dude ! You really ARE trying to grow a 4x12 sound garden...aren't you !
I don't blame ya a bit... all EV's ??? yeah, man !

Nah... I just like diversity in speakers. I feel speakers are the most important piece of tone.

You make a great point ! Different drivers (in similar cabs) frequency response is key to versatile tone. Especially when you go to Record.

I'm with ya man.
That's why I think Mesa had the greatest ideas when they used different "color" speakers within one cab. I believe they started that whole great concept, way back in the day.

Agreed.

My three 4x12 halfbacks are each loaded with different combinations of speakers. One is loaded with 4 C-90, one had 2 C-90's up top and 2 Vintage 50's down low, and the last has 4 vintage 50's. SOmeone on this board said the vintage 50s sound bad...they must be deaf. I think they sound great... just like the C-90 quad. I find myself playing both cabs together or the mixed cab, more than just a cab with all 4 of the same speaker. Mesa really nailed mixing speakers. ...now if I could just get some darn EVM12L's

YESSIR ! Patience man, patience !

I like the vintage 50's too, nice and tight tracking !

My last three hb cabs had 4 EV's, 4 MC90's (odd rectangle grill instead of horizontal) and my favorite 2 MC90's/2 EVM's :)

This is the first halfback I've owned that had Eminence speakers. I really do like these 150 watt MS-12's they kick mucho arse. Very close to an EV long throw as far as clean headroom and low end attack. It does not break up at all, similar voice, not tone ! EVM's are great.

Again, those MS-12's are damn nice ! Very happy

Good Luck man, you'll get one..... just be patient !

Agreed. My last cab I sold had the MC-90/Vintage 50 mix and I remember hooking it up to my Triaxis, which I had been using with two Thieles, for the guy buying it to hear, and thinking "What am i doing? This cab sounds great."
