Newbie here, rectoverb loop mod successful.

Finally stepped into the world of tube amps and couldn't be happier. Bought a used Rectoverb combo and immediatley ran into the issue of the parallel loop. I have the standard stompboxes (delay, chorus, flanger, phaser) and just couldn't get them to work properly through the loop. I tried both digital and analog delays and still had the motor boat warbling effect. After reading on here and researching what the problem was, finding out how easy the loop mod could be done, I finally did it yesterday. Could not be happier with the results. No problems whatsoever. Solo boost works fine and the effects sound amazing through the loop. Thanks for all the info this forum provides.

It was fairly simple to do on the combo? I have the rectoverb combo too that I want to mod the serial loop, but I'm afraid to screw **** up. Not even sure how easy it is to get the chasis out of the combo.

Taking the head out of the combo was easy. I set the combo face down and removed the five screws, two on each side and one in the center. I found on this forum how to remove the wires, but I didn't do the same way. I removed the three wires from the mix knob and tied off the first one from the left like you are supposed to. Then instead of removing the middle wire completely from the circuit board, I just soldered the second and third wire together and put heat shrinking wrap and it worked like a charm. I did however have a hell of a time getting the amp back into the combo. The screws did not want to line up. I would suggest having someone help you hold it while trying to set everything back in place. Good luck!
