New to TUBESSS

hi! just last year i got my first tube amp, a dual recto roadster after trying the some of them at the guitar shop. i've always been wondering whats is the diffrence between the tube my amp has, they are, 6L6, 12AX7, and 5U4. Also, I've been wondering what the difference is between a preamp tube and a normal tube.

Please help!!! xD
