So back in '09 I had a Roadster head and ended up selling it for various reasons and recently stumbled upon this:
Late 90's Triple Rectifier 2 channel, R-014131.
What initially drew me to this amp was how clean it was for it's age.
One owner amp and never gigged. Had a layer of dust on it and all the original tubes!
All the pre's were 90's era Chinese which I really like.
Here's some pics after I dusted it off:
So I fired the amp up and it sounded great, but as I was testing all the switches out I flicked the rectifier switch over to the tube rectifiers and saw perfectly parallel blue streaks of jagged lightning in pairs of 3 in two of the tubes and the fuse blew.
I replaced the fuse and switched back to silicon diodes and everything was working again.
So I already ordered new EL34 tubes for the amp and now need to order 3 rectifier tubes but I'm going to hold off until next week lol.
