Hello All!

I've been visiting the Grail Tone boards for a few years now since I bought my Peavey 6505 212 combo. I would stop by to check out user tone settings and what not for the 6505. Then Mesa released the Mini Rec, and I was curious about that amp. Mesa didn't have a forum section on their site, and I remembered seeing the Boogie Board section at GrailTone.com. What a wealth of information and knowledge here, some really good stuff! Fluff gained a new subscriber to his YouTube channel. He's got awesome sounds, demos, and side by side comparisons over there.

Anyway, after reading a ton on this site, and multiple trips to the local shops to test some Rectifiers, Last New Year's Eve I picked up a new Multi-Watt Dual Rectifier, and I couldn't be happier with this amp! It is so versatile! I paired it up with the Rectifier 2x12 cabinet and it sounds great! I still love my 6505 212 combo, but the Boogie is just amazing. On the way out of the store, the salesman, who has been playing Boogies for over 20 years, said, "you've now been Rectified". After playing this amp for nearly half a year, I know exactly what he meant!

So, after all of that, I figured I'd register and say thanks! Even if you were unaware, all the threads, posts, and video about the amps here really helped me get informed. Awesome forums here, I even see there is a recording section. I've been wanting to get back into home recording, so I have a lot of questions for that group.

Thanks again.

Despite branching out over the years the Rectifier is still my go-to amp. Once it gets some volume behind it it rarely fails to elicit a smile from my face. :D

the mini is awesome also, kills a peavey for dinner:)

Haha I don't know about all of that :D

Two different monsters. But with me plugging my ESP KH-2 into the 6505 it's too much. But plugging it into my Rec....WOW! Then when I plug in my Jackson with Duncans into my 6505 it's beautiful!

Two different animals.

I always felt my kh-2 felt thin through my dual rectumfrier.

that's when A/B'd with a bigger guitar though.
