Received 'em the other day. Best tone I've ever heard. I'll probably stick with the Boogie cabs, but the rest of my amp collection is gone!

wow. i wish i had that kind of money. an einstein and herbert right? (still learning diezel's products). any more pics? how do you have them set up?

Awesome... I recently picked up an Einstein myself (using it with a Roadster 2x12). I was eyeing a Herbert also, but the 180 watts seemed a little too much for me. Is the Herbie waaay loud or is it tamable at home?

jtb226: I can't really afford them either, that's why I had to sell a whole lot of stuff to pay for them! All I'm using is an Intellifex. No more need for tube screamers, or any extra boost pedals. It's all in the amp! :D

fredster: The Herbert is waaaaay loud! That's why I bought the Einstein also. I'll use the Einstein for about 95% of my gigs. Clubs, Bars, Weddings, etc. I got the Herbert to use for those very special "Outdoor" big-gigs that come along every once in awhile! BTW, my Einstein is the 50w model and is "plenty loud" for typical use.

phyrexia: Not special, just broke but Happy!

My wife & wallet aren't particularly fond of me right now either! :D

Life's and Wife's trials and tribulations :D

You know, I can personally recommend a great therapy group in case you're thinking of adding another piece within this lifetime :D

I recently got to demo the VH4, Man what a beast! Very versatile. They are great amps, but not in the tone spectrum i look for...... 8)

According to my wife, I won't need a good Therapist, I'll need a good Coroner if I buy any more "stuff"!

ursinus: I've never played the VH4 so I can't comment on 'em?

I've been using Boogie amps since '89 & I still like 'em but I have to be honest, these Diezel's are in a total different league in my opinion. I actually dial them in similiar to my old Mesa's, but there's something in the tonestack that gives me the frequencies and touch sensitivity and that "Brownish Midrange Chewyness?" that I was never able to get out of a Boogie? I don't know if that makes any sense or not, & I'm sure it's totally particular to my tastes & technique? I still think Mesa's are incredible amplifiers, I just like the Diezel's better.

peace,
-d

Beautiful amps! Can you get a very heavy kinda distortion out of the Einstein?! How does it sound in terms of 'heaviness' compared to the Herbert?! Apologies for the vague questions!
