Here are some gut shots of my original 60/100 HRG w/ 105pt.

Opinions are appreciated.

The grey 300V 220uF capaitors are not original. I take it that you use Celestion speakers, with the 750 Hz slider that low? The MS-12 and EVM-12L do not need near that amount of mid scoop to let the C+ tone shine through. 8)

Nice one, Are you gonna hold onto this one for more than 5 minutes?

Looks really nice, the only changes that stick out are the two grey caps that aren't mesa or mallory, and i think the metal film resistors on the tube sockets. Maybe a cap job, cleaning and new tube sockets, and it will be "brand new" again.

I never get tired of looking at these porn shots...

thanks

It is a combo w/ an EVM-12L.

Yeah, it is going to Mesa. The seller stated that it was Mint, and 100% original.

Unfortunately, it was packed poorly. The pilot light comes on about 5-10 seconds after flipping the power switch. Also when I flipped it on for the 1st time, a preamp tube blew/broke. I then replaced w/ newer Mesa Russian 12ax7's I had around. The amp has pretty loud fizz and static for a few seconds when powering on.

After you get through that, it sounds great.

I planned on sending it to Mesa early this week.

It looks very dirty and I think you need to sell it to me for a dollar. :D

It only has 2 285V/220uf power supply caps?

This is it, right?

Not a bad price, but considering the neccessary service it will come to $3.5k+

Yeah, that's the one.

After having multiple C+'s w/ different configurations, and then moving to a Mark V, I could not get the tone of the 60/100 HRG w/ 105pt out of my head. Told myself, if one popped up, I was gonna jump on it. Just so happened one popped up within 8 hours of my decision, lol.

I am shipping it out to Mesa today. It is gonna be a long 3-4 weeks, lol.

Good decision

Mark V is a great amp, but cant reach C+. It never will, regardless of what people say or settings they try.
