So, I've been playing around with the Mark III settings on my red stripe head and got one hell of a tone going. I figured since the amp already has a real hot bite that I would take down the 6600 quite a bit and boost the 750. Between this and the way my pickups in my PRS respond gives me a really, really nice smooth crunch, and the lead wasn't even on. I also threw it in Class A which also sweetened up the tone quite a bit. This sounds excellent even at low volume settings. I absolutely can't wait to really get those EL34s cooking at more volume. My purple reacts differently in the EQ where I keep the 2200 and 6600 about level with each other at 60%. The overall circuit sounds warmer, more smooth...but now I have the red getting a real nice bite while still retaining that nice smooth sound. These amps never cease to amaze me.
