Need some input from Mark III guys?

So a friend of mine called and offered me his Mark III head for 500 dollars. It's in good shape, he's calling me back with the seriel number and stripe. I don't know the stripe so I left him a v mail. 500 seems like a smoking deal right? Input?

absolutely. even if it needs $200 worth of work (which it may, given it's age) it's still a good deal.

Buy it! Your basement will always be there... just keep it down there and make it the 'centerpiece' of your newly remodelled basement!
