I got the vintage, suposed, US tube that I can't ID. It is a long grey ribbed plate with 3 ribs. It has a square 45deg angled getter and the silver coating inside the top of the tube is angled as well. The silk screen is worn off and it has 7025 etched in it. I got it from www.tubedepot.com in their "various vos us made tubes" secton for $15. The label on the box has the triodes rated at 95/100 and checked for noise/microphonics. If I gotta take a pic of it I can later tonight. Thanks.

From pics i've found online it looks like it might be a GE but I don't know.

Upon further resarch....this is Identical to what I have right down the the single getter support, angle, etching, placement of the ribs and everything. Looks like I have an RCA. Any comments on the tone this tube is known for?

If you could post a pic I might can help you out. I have an RCA 7025 I can reference visually. PM me or just post it here. I'll check both places later at home. They're pretty cool tubes...this one sounded real good in my 22+ but not so much in my Stiletto. It's just kinda cool to have some of these oldies around to play with now and again.

I meant to post this link.....this is spot on identical to my tube.

Dunno what it is, exactly, GE, RCA, whatever. This VOS 7025 long grey ribbed plate square getter is raping ass in the V3 of my Triple. The bass tones are amazingly deep and tight. As I expected from what i read about 7025 tubes, the amp is a little less noisey now. +fookin 1 for the mystery tube!!!

Well...I'm not sure what you've got there. My RCA's (2) both have angled round halo getters. The plate structure looks spot-on from the pic you posted. Maybe it doesn't matter too much....sounds like it's driving you home!!! You know, maybe some senior electrical engineer type would know. I've had my 2 for almost 20 years now (just one box though); I got them from a surplus store that was going out of business. For once, I was in the right place at the right time!!! :D

Sounds like you're having a good time with it anyway....enjoy!!
