Well, this is my current modest setup:

... and in "geeked" format:

Like to keep it fairly simple at the moment and concerntrate on straight tone and technique rather than hiding behind a wall of effects :)

That's a sweet setup my friend! Very cool.

Do you have any problems running the Triple through just the 2x12 rated at 140 watts? Is that the reason for the hot plate. How does it sound? I'm debating on either adding a 2x12 or another 4x12 later on to my rig, and i don't normally see a triple with a 2x12! I love the 7 string s-series!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks :)

I haven't had any problems with the 2x12 so far though to be fair I don't push it too hard at the moment. I prefer the 2x12 for reasons of portability if nothing else.

The Hotplate is mainly so I can practice at home without getting slapped with an Anti Social Behaviour Order (as I live in a flat with people above, below and on both sides!)

The 7 string s-series is really cool - a very recent and lucky ebay find as I've been after one for ages!

very cool! how is the g-major working out for you? does it sound muddy or unclear at all with the recto?

I don't use a huge amount of effects but what I do use sounds pretty good to me. I've got the fx loop running 100% which helps although if I could get it serial modded that'd be good.

Mostly I use it on the clean channel (on the "Sheryl's Sound" present) which adds some (slightly tweaked) compression et al.

+1 on the above, and also...if the fcb1010 only switches two channels, what do you do for the third channel???

The amp does "auto orange" - i.e. when you don't select anything else it defaults back to the orange channel. To that end all I actually need is a switch in the red and green. My fx loop is always on so I don't need to switch that (I just MIDI bypass the G-Major when I don't need it) and I don't use the solo boost at the moment.

I do have plans to build a MIDI switcher box to control the amp via the normal footswitch connection (I've spent time working out the schematics and switching system) but that's on hold pending some money to put it together.

Almost got outbid and was on the brink of letting it go... but I just had to have her :) Very glad I did but that's why I now don't have any money to do anything else for a while! She does need new pickups as the stock are pretty muddy (as with most Ibanez stocks really) but again that'll have to wait until the cash flow starts again!

I know how that goes bro. What pickups are you planning on purchasing, whe n you have the money?

I already have a DiMarzio Blaze Neck that I picked up on ebay and considering. My 6-string has a FRED in the neck and I'd like something similar in tone to that really.

As for the bridge I'm leaning towards a Bareknuckle Nailbomb I think.

nice rig man, love the S7 (i picked one up last week and its now my new favorite, didn't take long  ) quick question, how do you create a "geek format" picture?

Thanks :)

If you take a meander over to www.guitargeek.com they have loads of images of various bits of kit (and you can ask in the forum for stuff they don't have). You usually have to find existing rigs (there's lots on there from famous setups to user rigs) and do some deft photoshopping :)
There are people there that will do you a geeked rig picture if you send them your setup.

could you make some clips with your s7, please?

I'll see what I can do - I have plans to do some proper recording and put a mini-album together but it's just the matter of getting the time at the moment :)

I usually record at the moment via the line-out from the Hotplate as I can't get up to decent mic recording volumes in my home :)
