i've been putting this together for about 10 years actually, various pieces in and out until i found the right components,i use a mesa abacus with the matrix to control everything, now i just need 2 more cabs :)

I've been putting a rig together that is very similar to yours, for about 3 years. I've got a Quad, a Studio, and a 50/50 power amp. I got a matrix last year but wanted to wait until I got an abacus before I set about deafening people other than myself. Finally got one on Ebay last week. Happy days :D

that is a very sweet rig, one question though you seem to be a mesa man, whats with the marshall cabs? hopefully those extra cabs you want to get will be mesa.

i've had these cabs for a long time, they sound good to me,i used to play through old marshall amps and when i discovered boogie amps i just kept the cabs, some vintage 30's would be nice though

how do those mesa amps sound through the marshall lead series cabs? i've been looking for a extension cab for my mark 4, i dont really need that much low end, just a bigger sound that a combo cant do.

my top cab has g12-70's and my bottom has g12T-75's,the top cab doesnt have quite as much low end as the bottom but they work well together,i prefer the sound of marshall cabs over those old metal grill boogie cabs but i havent tried the recto cabs yet, sounds to me like you would like an open back 2X12

i dont think i need every piece of gear in this rack but it sure is fun  and yes that is a sus 4 mesa rack,it once fell off the back of a u-haul with no damage at all

Man seeing that pic of the studio pre takes me back. I used one for 15 years but ditched the rack in favor of simplicity. MkIV1x12 and a guitar.
I miss the rack, but I don't miss setting it all up. Nice rig.
