My Mark III's Clean is Distorted Sometimes

Sometimes when I turn the amp on, the clean will be distorted. It's almost like the distortion is lying over the clean. It's light, but still ruins the sound. Usually I have to turn it off and back on and it works. But sometimes I have to restart it 2 or more times and it gets really annoying. I know it doesn't have anything to do with the settings, as after it's restarted it usually goes away. If you know anything about this, then please tell me. Thanks.

Try swapping a few preamp tubes first. Other than that, it may be an LDR / Opto Switch hanging open and bleeding the R2 into the R1.
