the amp works fine otherwise.
when i turn the standby on after letting the tubes warm up, the clean channel puts out no signal at all. it works after i click over to the dirty channel, even if its for a split second. then it all works fine.
was wondering what the deal is. anyone??

What about without the footswitch? Try powering-up without it! Same thing? Then I'd say the footswitch, or the receptacle on the amp!

Make sure that the V1 tube (the one closest to your input jack) is properly seated in it's socket.

If that doesn't work, try swapping the V1 and V2 preamp tubes. If your clean starts to work and your dirt stops, replace the tube.

+1 on the V1 check screamindaisy recommends.

I had a dead amp this morning - all power came on and everything looked normal, but no sound on either channel. I swapped V1 with spare and it came back. That's the short version :)
