Mute & Tuner Out?

Hello everyone,

Anyone knows how should the Tuner out & Mute work? I think the tuner out should only send guitar signal to the tuner pedal when the MUTE switch is on. But appearntly that's not the case for my Mark V head. Am I connecting the tuner to the wrong port?

It will always send a signal to the tuner. The mute switch just mutes the sound so you can tune silently.
