6L6 as more fat.

El-34 was more wide ( clean?)

I,ll say go 6L6 in a live situation ( take more space) and EL-34 in studio.

But if I had to chose.

...

6L6.

i prefer the EL34s.
use EL34s with my roadster and used them with my old 3-channel dual recto as well.

Sounded good man. Always love your videos. I couldn't decide.....so I just run both    but more often than not, I prefer the EL's to the 6L6 when just running one head, since our other guitarist uses a 6505+ with 6L6's. Balances pretty well.

Thanks duder! Be sure to hit me up if you guys come to Seattle! We should drink beers and geek out with gear chat!

I've been using boogies for almost 20 years and I find that the 6L6 route is better in the studio where you don't have to worry about punching through the mix. EL34 is better on stage to give that bite you need when you need it. Either option sounds great and it's up to your personal ear/tastes to choose one. Do not do yourself a disservice by not trying each.
