I had some time to myself this weekend so I thought for S&G I would hook up my bias probe and grab some quick readings and share them with The Board.

Plate Voltage was measured at 452V.

MESA STR-440 "YEL" (the tubes that came with the amp)
V8 = 26.2mA (39.5%)
V9 = 33.4mA (50.3%)
V10= 34.4mA (51.8%)
V11= 24.9mA (37.5%)

MESA STR-440 "GRN"
V8 = 33.1mA (49.9%)
V9 = 43.4mA (65.4%)
V10= 44.5mA (67%)
V11= 32.3mA (48.7%)

SED =C= SV6L6GC ("Mesa Grade")
V8 = 30.1mA (45.4%)
V9 = 35.6mA (53.6%)
V10= 34.7mA (52.3%)
V11= 31.7mA (47.8%)

Your typical Mesa readings.

No problem brother.

I was really suprised at the MPD figures between the "YEL" and "GRN" Mesa tubes, but IMHO would not be able to tell them apart in a blind test.

Tomorrow night is rehersal and I can't wait to push those =C= to band volumes. They've been my favorite 6L6GC for some time now. The set I have in the MKV have about 200 hours on them (last set from my Roadster) but still sound good. If I like them in the MKV (I'm sure I will) I'll get a new set.

I also have a quad of JJ E34L's that I will roll into the MKV next. I'll be sure to post the bias readings.

BTW-
Those readings are in Bold/90W.
