Looking for a bit of help here anyone

Couple of nights back with the amp cranked i was figuring out some Stevie Vai solos when suddenly things went very wrong
One of the power tubes was going berserk ,blue flaming etc
Luckily there was no damage to my amp as the juice was shut down quickly
Checked out some resistors etc etc ,all appear fine except one , a 1 watt carbon comp resistor connected to tag # 5 at the outer octal tube socket (60/100w)gave a 650 ohm reading
The other carbon comp resistors same value connected to each of the three other power tube sockets came back with a reading approx 483 ohms
Therefore if i renew the rogue carbon 1watt resistor with the irregular (650ohms) will this stop my blueflaming power tube??
Any ideas ??

Thanks in advance

Tried this Shep thanks...,got a crate of tubes here and problem still persists after swapping out

carbon comp resistors have a very short life span. They also introduce noise, resist differently at different frequencies, and different temperatures.
