Mismatched Imp. on cabs

I run a 395 for power and recently posted a cry for help. Thanx for the responses guys, they've helped but.......
I discovered today that my cabs have different ohms. The top is 8 and the bottom is 16. I was running both at 8 ohms (I assumed both were 8 as they come from the same brand).

Is it ok to run one side of the 395 at 8 ohms and the other at 16?
Should I trade one and buy another with matching Imp.?
Would running a 16ohm cab at 8ohms explain a loss of overall power, ie. loss of earth shaking bass?

You can rewire the 16 Ohm to become an 8 ohm cab. Just look at any Dual Rectifier Owners Manual and they show you how to do it.
