I sold my Rivera and am looking for a new combo.
I really love the idea of the Mini Rectoverb.

I was just watching YouTube videos and it seems like there is a definite pop sound when changing channels from clean to lead (distortion).

Can anyone offer any insight as to whether there is a delay, pop sound, noise, glitch, loss in sound when changing channels?
A lot of the stuff that I play goes from clean to dirty in the middle of a chord, so I need glitch free switching.

Thanks,
Andy

Pops are common with all mesa amps and is usually only the first channel change. Solution is while in standby change your channel a couple times. Amp should be good for the duration of your play session. Just the nature of the beast.

No lag for my Mini Rec which I understand is identical circuitry.

Yep, what Chaos said. Only happens on the first click. It's something I take care of during sound/gear check anyway, so no biggie. You'll just have to do it each time you turn the amp on.
