Mini Mark V 25. Master determines send level. No return level control.
I have a G Major and a looper pedal in the effects chain. If I turn the master up it red lines the G Major which over drives the looper pedal causing the G Major and the looper pedal inputs to have to be readjusted. When I turn the master volume down the G Major and the looper have to be adjusted again. I need to keep the G Major and the looper (has prerecorded backing tracks that I need to keep clean) in the effects chain. I am used to having the master volume controlling the volume of the amp only so I can set up my effects and just use the master control volume.
I have read on the online forums that people have used an attenuator (volume pot) at the end of their effects chain to be used as the true master for volume. Would that be an option with no ill effects? Could a mod be done so that the master can be placed at the end of the loop? What are the pros and cons of doing that? Can anyone tell me what the decibel level range on the send for the effects loop is?
