Hi folks. I have an Engl Fireball, and I really like its unique tone.

But, I am keen to get some midrange roar Marshall JCM800 tones out of it, somehow.

I am not sure how to go about this.

What can I do to achieve this with the Fireball?

outboard EQs, settings etc.? :?:

This video clip is a good example of what I'm aiming for (although it looks like a modded Plexi rather than a JCM800) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8QY3gfxTfTw

Having owned both a JCM 800 and a Powerball. I'd say you just couldn't.

The first place I'd start is the midrange. Go high on it and the presence while keeping the treble down a little, don't go to crazy on the bass or gain. A boosted JCM 800 tone is very tight and bright.
