So i have done some research recently and have learned that Mesa made a preamp with the legendary Mark 2 c+ and the Dual rectifier tone plus i am sure it being a preamp is full of other useful tones.

So here is my question why arn't more people using these i mean its like using a high end Line6 or an updated ADA pramp and what are the pros and cons to having the Preamp Vs A head what do you guys think?

Oh and please realise i am talking specifically about the 2.o version with the mark series tones and rec tones

While the Triaxis does some great Mark tones, the "Recto" mode is very disappointing IME. I used a Triaxis for about a month, hoping it would be close enough so I could have my Modern Recto rhythm and Mark lead tone without lugging both my rigs around. The Recto mode in the Triaxis was very flubby and sterile, even with a Recto 2:100 poweramp.

The Triaxis version with the recto circuit is based on the vintage recto orange channel.
You will find most Triaxis discussion in the "rack pieces" section of the forum.
Search those threads or ask questions. Mesa has been making the Triaxis since 1992 and there still in production.

While I applaud the Triaxis and think it's one of the best preamps money can buy, it's not for me because I don't need all of those different tones at my disposal.
