Mesa Stiletto Trident Stage I with Fluid Drive mod?

Can somebody fill me in on how a Stiletto Trident Stage 1 head sounds?

There's a guy selling a used one in my area (assuming he hasn't sold it yet), it has the "fluid drive mod", whatever that is. He's asking $800.00, it's perfect condition, and includes footswitch, hang tags, cover, and all the paperwork, including mod paperwork.

I don't like super high-gain buzzyness, I like good old fashioned 70s-style Marshall crunch. Would this amp cover that or is it more in the modern, high-gain vein?

It has added gain and lowend to the titegain mode. And a tighter lowend on the fluid drive mode. It think it my the FD mode sound terrible. But it makes the TG mode awesome. Good mod and worth it
