MESA RECTIFIER CAB QUESTION

Hi,

I have two Mesa rectifier 4X12 cabs. On the back of the cab on the 1/4" jack plate it says 280w @ 8 ohms with CEL-30.I thought these cabs came with V-30's @ 60w. Does anyone have any info on age maybe? custom?
I think I purchased them around 92-93,it's been a while.

The older cabs are rated at 70 watts per speaker. Newer ones are rated at 60. I don't know if it had something to do with special speakers or not.

The 70w V30's were custom made for M/B, now they just use the standard V30 I think it was part of their quest to make the cabs lighter, they redesigned some of the cabinets internally too, making them lighter but just as strong supposedly.

i just ordered a new stiletto 4x12in oct.07,got it at the end of nov.07 and its rated at 280watts.mislabeling?? the world may never know,like i said before at least the speakers are still coming from the UK
