Mesa Mark V - MIDI function controller

Hi,

I am looking at buying a Mesa Mark V. However, there are a few things that I am a little confused about. To clarify things a little, I am a noob with MIDI function controllers/foot controllers, etc. I own a number of pedals (Crybaby,Flanger,etc) and I was wondering if there was a way to have a foot controller that would not only control the channels on the Mark V, but control the pedals as well. By this, I mean that I would like to set up different presets on the foot controller each with different Mark V channels and different pedals involved. For example, one of the presets would be the 3rd Mark V channel + my OD pedal/flanger. Another would be the second Mark V channel + my wah pedal. Is there any product out there that can do this sort of thing with the Mark V? If so, please help me out by listing the product(s) and how I would go about doing that.

Ground Control Pedal Board

GCX Audio Switcher

What cord will I use though to connect the foot switch input on the back of the Mark V to the Ground Control Pro? Will a regular MIDI cable work?

You will use the 1/4" External Trigger jacks. The GCX would switch the amp's channels as well as provide loops for your pedals. Everything will connect with 1/4" cables.

You could also use the Control Switcher to handle amp functions if you do not want to tie up GCX loops for function switching.
