hi, I am going to buy the new mesa boogie mark v 25, i have some questions:has the little head enough volume for live use also in a full band with two guitars ?
I would like to match them a mesa 2x12 recto compact, what do you think? could be better 1x12 widebody or 1x12 thiele? I am very interested to head for home use but especially for use onstage with my band.

It will have enough volume as long as your bandmates are not ridiculously loud. If the other guitarist insists on playing a 100W amp full-bore while sitting in the same frequency range as you, then he will win. If you carefully tune the guitars so that each has its own sonic space and also keep the volume (and the drummer) under control, then sure, 25W should be plenty. I play my MR 25 and MV25 in my band with no problems. When I use my 100W Electradyne, I have to use a power attenuator at -20dB.

For cab, pretty much any will do. IMO the widebody closed-back ported does a good job of getting a tight overdrive tone while allowing some ability to breathe on clean tones, but I use a bunch of cabs with good results (see my sig).

It's plenty loud. Especially when you kick it into Xtreme mode. Get yourself a 2x12 with V30's and you WILL be heard. 8)

I use the V:25 with a 2X12 Recto cab. I put the cab so the speakers are vertical. Plenty of volume with even the loudest drummer.
The other guitarist in my band uses a Triple Rec. We are well balanced.
I have done 5 gigs with this combo and am not going back to what I was using. Lightweight and loud!! You'll be perfectly fine with that combo.
RAWK!

Absolutely it will be loud enough, something to consider is the more speakers you have the louder it will be. For me a 1x12 is not loud enough and doesn't move enough air.
